2 years ago – I embarked on my very own journey into parenthood – and like many of us, I was finding new challenges every day. So many things to learn with your first child – the crying, the pooping, the fact that a real-life human being was wholly reliant on you to survive!
The one thing that really surprised me was how difficult I would find breastfeeding – not only was learning HOW to breastfeed, but I was having to wear drab clothes just to make it practical. I was embarrassed and nervous about feeding when I was out and about…. the thought of getting my boobs out in public, quite frankly, petrified me!
So, I stated Chico Jack’s first line of fashionable, practical breastfeeding clothes… taking my first step into helping other women in the same boat on their breastfeeding journeys. Since 2016, we have gone from strength to strength, with your stories, photos and successes driving us to work harder, longer and ultimately help to #normalisebreastfeeding.
We’ve developed the best community of Mumma’s (yup, that you!!) – and have recently won some incredible awards:
- Mother and Baby Gold Award for Best Product for Breast Feeding
- Loved by Parents Platinum Winner for Best Feeding Top
- Shortlisted for the Made for Mums awards 2019
To say thank you to everyone that has supported us over the last 2 years – we’ve decided to run 7 Days of Giving – Random Acts of Kindness, and we’d love for you to be involved. Each day we’ll be running some amazing prize draws (in collaboration with some other awesome brands), as well as donating to some very special charities and local communities. By following us on Facebook and Instagram you can be involved in 7 Days of Giving – Random Acts of Kindness, we can’t wait to say a huge THANK YOU to you and our other AWESOME Mumma’s!
…And before we sign off on our first blog – I wanted to share some of the VERY exciting things that we have planned for the next year including many new ranges including new twinning sets, working with Mumma’s to support Mumma’s, building a more sustainable business, as well as the imminent arrival of our parenting blog celebrating real Mumma’s and their real stories!
Thanks to your support we are more determined than ever to work with our community to #normalisebreastfeeding – and make every Mumma’s breastfeeding journey a little easier.
Sending lots of love to each and every one of you!
